Our story

Who We Serve

We work with children, teens, and adults who want their brains to match the life they desire:

  • Families who want calmer homes, better focus, and more emotional regulation

Professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives whose current brain state can’t keep up with their goals and responsibilities
  • Athletes and performers who need steady focus, faster recovery from mistakes, and reliable “on‑demand” presence

Veterans and first responders, including through select partner programs
  • Clinics and therapists who partner with us for brain‑based support alongside their work

Whether you’re seeking in‑person care or at‑home training, the goal is the same: a calmer, clearer, more resilient brain and a life that feels possible again.

So no matter where you start, the focus stays on helping your real, everyday life work better, not just making charts and brain maps look nicer.

Meet Our Team

Multi‑system, not one‑size‑fits‑all

Most neurofeedback clinics run one system and one to two protocols. We combine linear and dynamical neurofeedback with additional tools for blood flow, prefrontal training, sleep, and recovery so your plan fits your brain instead of forcing you into a box.

Whole‑brain, whole‑person approach

We look at wiring and load: brain activity patterns, nervous system regulation, sleep, stress, and real‑life demands. Your plan may include neurofeedback, HEG prefrontal training, light‑based support, recovery tools, and coaching.

Custom protocols and plans

Protocol choice and plan design are where results are made. We build Brain Reset Foundations and Brain Power Stacks tailored to your goals, capacity, and season of life.

Support beyond the session

As brains regulate, people often feel pulled to live differently. High performance and integrative coaching around habits, communication, and stress helps your life expand with your brain, not fight against it.

So you are not just getting sessions; you are getting a full framework to help your brain changes turn into lasting life changes.

As a kid, my inspirations were Jesus, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone. The muscles on the latter two impressed me, but it was the mind and mental strength behind each of them that caught my attention: discipline, focus, perseverance, and overcoming.

That sparked a lifelong question: How do we actually build the brain and nervous system that can live so fully, no matter what life throws at us?

That question has driven more than 40 years of my studying human behavior, performance, and healing, and over two decades working hands-on with the brain.

For nearly 20 years, I was also involved in rescuing and rehabilitating wolves and wolfdogs. These animals live almost entirely through their nervous systems, hyper aware of threat, survival, and safety. Meeting each wolf where it was, often in situations where my own safety was not guaranteed, taught me something that later became central to my work with people: a nervous system cannot change until it first feels safe.

In many ways, those years were an unexpected preparation for the work I now do with human nervous systems.

My own life has been a testing ground too. I have spent more than 30 years as an entrepreneur, trained and lived as an athlete who values discipline and resilience, and walked through real-life stress, trauma, and recovery. A serious car accident and failed back surgery in my teens and early twenties forced me to reassess my entire life and make drastic life adjustments. Later came the miracle of a child I had been told I should never have due to the risk of being paralyzed, along with a traumatic marriage, divorce, and more than 16 years of being a single mom. My son arrived early and faced his own challenges, and he began neurofeedback at age 3. All of this required me to use these tools to create stability for myself and my son, not just for clients.

Using the same brain-based tools and habits we now offer here, I watched my preemie son move from early challenges into a young man who tested out of high school at 15, is on track to finish high school with an Associate’s Degree and multiple certifications and now helps run systems behind the scenes at Breakthrough.

I do not recommend anything I have not used, tested, and refined on myself, my family, or my own nervous system.

So when you share your story with me, you are talking to someone who has walked through years of uncertainty and come out the other side with tools that can shorten that path for you.

So rather than being fit into a system, the system is fit around you: your brain, your season of life, and the outcomes you care about most.

Professional Background

Over the past two decades, I have trained across multiple neurofeedback systems and approaches, including both protocol-based linear neurofeedback and whole-brain dynamical training models.

Over the course of my career I held advanced practitioner and instructor roles within leading neurofeedback systems before intentionally transitioning to a multi-system, tool-agnostic approach focused on matching the method to the individual brain.

Today my work integrates multiple brain-training technologies and supporting modalities to create individualized brain optimization plans designed around each client’s goals, nervous system, and real-life demands.

-

Clinical Partner

Mary Pat is our clinical partner for Medicaid, TriWest, and complex cases. She:

  • Provides therapy and mental‑health support
  • Collaborates on treatment planning for more complex presentations
  • Ensures that when deeper clinical work is needed, it’s integrated with brain training rather than separate from it
Ty

Ty

-

Director of Operations

Ty helps keep everything behind the scenes running smoothly:

  • Prepping, checking in, and maintaining rental systems
  • Handling shipping, returns, and IT troubleshooting
  • Supporting clients with practical questions about setup and tech

He’s also done brain training himself and understands what it’s like to be on the client side, which makes his support grounded and real.

Why this matters

Most clients meet with me for Brain Plan Calls and high‑level design. The Breakthrough Team makes sure everything around that plan runs reliably so you’re supported by a system, not just one person’s calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Breakthrough Neurofeedback for?

We work withchildren, teens, and adults dealing with anxiety, ADHD, sleep issues, brainfog, depression, trauma, concussion/TBI, and general stress and burnout. Wealso support high‑performing professionals and athletes who want more capacityand resilience, not just “symptom relief.”

Do I have to do anything outside sessions?

Yes. What we do in sessions and with our tools is powerful — but it does not override basic biology.
If you are cutting sleep short, overstimulating your nervous system, under-fueling your body, or relying on alcohol or substances, it will limit how much change is possible and how long results last.

For sleep specifically, this matters: you have to put yourself in bed long enough to allow the opportunity for the sleep your brain actually needs. Neurofeedback can help regulate the system, but it can’t create sleep time that isn’t there.

We don’t givegeneric advice. We provide highly personalized guidance to help you understandwhat your brain and body need — and how to realistically implementhabits that support brain and nervous system health long-term. This is a teameffort.

How do I know where to start?

Two simple steps:

  1. Take the Brain Regulation Pattern Quiz to get language for what your brain seems to be dealing with.
  2. Book a Brain Plan Call so we can review your history, goals, and capacity and recommend a Brain Reset Foundation plan, Brain Power Stack, tools‑only start, or a combination.

Where are you located? Do you work with people outside Colorado?

Our in‑person clinic is in Colorado Springs, CO. We also offer at‑home neurofeedback, HEG, and tPBM programs with full remote support across the U.S. and in some cases internationally.
